About the Artwork
CG8 explores identity through fragmentation, repetition, and perception.

The duplicated figures represent the many versions of self that exist at once. The version the world sees. The version we present. The version that exists beneath it all. Each frame holds the same body, yet tells a different story.

The contrast between grayscale and color speaks to visibility. Who is seen fully and who is reduced to outline or shadow. It reflects the tension between authenticity and presentation in a world where identity is constantly captured and displayed.

The positioning of the body suggests both freedom and exposure. To be seen carries power, but also vulnerability.

CG8 feels coded. Like a label that is assigned rather than chosen. It reflects how identity is categorized, consumed, and replicated without full understanding.

This piece asks
How many versions of ourselves exist at once
Which one is real and who decides
What happens when identity becomes something to be viewed and defined by others

CG8 is about visibility, control, and the ownership of identity.
